With the blessing of His Grace Bishop George of Canberra, the Intercession of the Holy Virgin church parish, Cabramatta, presents CampROK 2019. A blessing for 2020 is pending.

Running of the Camp
The camp is held in mid-December each year at an idyllic location, currently Lutanda Toukley Outdoor Recreation Centre on the Central Coast of NSW – http://www.lutanda.org.au/recreation-centres-toukley/. The venue is situated in a natural bush setting with a short ten minute drive to a well-patrolled, family friendly beach and a great, safe fishing spot is also located nearby.
All the camp participants are housed in cabins. Supervisors and parent helpers are assigned rooms so that campers have adequate adult support and supervision. The kitchen helpers and visiting clergy are housed in a separate lodge.
Our Kitchen Helpers team caters for the hungry hordes for the duration of the camp. They cook nutritious, Lenten food and the kids often comment they eat too much since the food is so good.
A team of supervisors aged 18 and above, most ex-campers themselves, run group activities with supervision from the senior supervisors and parent helpers. The activities have mostly a fun, recreational aspect with a strong emphasis on beach activities, swimming and fishing.
Integral elements that have formed the basis of our program include: lectures, religious discussions and instruction by clergy and guest speakers; Russian & English singing; sports and fitness; art and crafts; team-building activities and; life skills lessons that are delivered in an interactive, educational context guided by Orthodox Christian principles and values.
We invite His Grace Bishop George of Canberra to visit and also like to have Orthodox priests attending for prayers and religious discussions. It is wonderful for the campers to be able to get to know Orthodox priests in a more informal setting where the religious discussion is always informative and relevant to Orthodox children and young people of today.
